St. Columba Cathedral
Founded in 1847 and completed in 1958, St. Columba Cathedral is both a Parish and a Cathedral under the Diocese of Youngstown in Ohio. With a modern architectural style, it was constructed with Mankato stone. On the southwest corner of the entrance is the statue of St. Columba. The stained glass windows on the facade and on the sides look common outside but give a colorful scene inside especially when the sun shines through them. Upon entering, you’d see a huge mosaic of the Blessed Virgin Mary crowned in heaven behind the Altar that is just marvelous. Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Both a Cathedral and a Basilica, it was built between 1841 and 1845. It is on the list of the National Register of Historic Places and Cincinnati Local Historic Landmark. Having a Greek Revival architectural style, it is distinctly spectacular. It has a pure white limestone single spire that is just striking. It prides thirty-three (33) high columns symbolizing the years Jesus lived. Inside, you’ll be in awe of its uncommon greek-themed mosaics of the Stations of the Cross and Corinthian Columns. There are also attractive stained glass windows, and statues. St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral
Last but certainly not least is St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral. Located in Parma, Ohio, this Byzantine Revival architectural style structure was completed in 1985. It is the seat of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of St. Josaphat in Parma. Although seems not, the Cathedral is in full communion with the Holy See. On the outside, the building is not typical. It has onion domes on the roof. Inside, the whole Church is filled with depictions of religious figures and events. Everything just expresses heavenly!
